J'taime Paris

  I had the privilege of living in Europe for about a year and a half, and while I traveled to many countries, I happen to have a very special place in my heart for Paris!  I loved everything about it and have so many fond memories of being there.  I would absolutely LOVE to go back with my husband one day!  Beautiful architecture, fabulous coffee, quaint little shops, fresh flowers, outdoor markets, the lovely language, these are just a few of the charming attributes of this "city of love".

  I decided to create a necklace in honor of my love of Paris..... 

The Jolie (meaning "pretty" in French) necklace is charming, interesting, vintage, and definitely Paris inspired!  It incorporates a chandelier crystal, rhinestone button, bronze key, and a few other assorted charms.  It instantly adds "love" to any outfit.  While the name means "pretty", I guarantee you'll feel stunning while wearing it!

Featured at Four Rivers Salon

           I am very pleased to announce that Lauren Elise Jewelry is now being featured at the beautiful
Four Rivers Salon in Bethany on 42nd, 4255 30th Ave. S., Fargo, ND, as well as some of my designer replica handbags.  For those of you in the area, swing by and check it out!!  Also, my friend, Alicia works there and is a great hair stylist!  Swing by, pick out some great jewelry, a new purse and get your hair done all at the same stop!  What girl can resist that?  I'm very excited about this new venture, and the expansion of Lauren Elise Designs.  I'm looking forward to meeting new people and gaining more clients.  Designing jewelry with YOU in mind, is one of my favorite things to do!

New Blog Design!

    I can't believe it has been over a month since I've blogged!!  I suppose I'm enjoying my Summer too much! ;-)  I've planted a garden, been fishing, taken lots of walks with my adorable pups, golfing with my man, etc.  I'm trying to keep up with the blogging, but I can't help but enjoy this gorgeous weather!  North Dakota has a short enough Summer as it is, so I MUST enjoy it while I can!  :-)

Jewelry Modeling

     I truly believe that a picture is worth "a thousand words" and therefore I find it very important to take pictures of my jewelry being modeled in order to fully convey each piece accurately.  There's just something about seeing the jewelry on somebody, that makes you feel and understand it and realize that you can't live without it!  :-D

.I DO.

    This is the season for WEDDINGS!!  I personally know of 6 weddings this Summer, some of which I'm doing the photography for, others which I'm doing the jewelry. I have said before that I'm a hopeless romantic, so I especially love being a part of a couple's most special day! Whether it's designing wedding jewelry or capturing all their priceless moments in photography- I LOVE weddings.
   Recently, I had a bride ask me to come up with a modern, stylish, and unique set for her destination wedding to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  It can be quite challenging coming up with "new" ideas.  Often it involves a good dose of inspiration and a lot of tweaking until it's just right.  The necklace above was the finished piece and I can't help but appreciate the opportunity to stretch my creative muscles.  The combination of textures, really lend toward the "exotic beach" feel, while the color scheme keeps it elegant, romantic and with a definite "wedding persona".   
    Since then, I've again been asked to design custom jewelry for a few other brides and bridal parties.  I hope to post pictures of those soon!

~Honoring Mothers~

    While I'm not a mother yet, Lord willing I will be one day!  (Our parents are hoping SOON)  Haha!

I DO have an incredible mother and mother-in-law though, and in honor of these special ladies and to those of you who ARE mothers, there is a very wonderful day set apart for you!!  What an incredible responsibility bound up in the word "Mother", I can't even begin to comprehend the depth of this word.  The Lord is the one who gives the grace to raise another human being, but He most certainly has given mothers a very real gift for all that motherhood entails.  I wrote a very special article for my Mom that you can read here that just barely scratches the surface of all the reasons why I love my Mom.  I cherish my mother and am indebted to her in so many ways. 

"Mother's Day" -what a special time to truly thank our mothers and show them how much we love and appreciate them.

A mother is someone to shelter and guide us,
To love us, whatever we do,
With a warm understanding and infinite patience
And wonderful gentleness, too.
How often a mother means swift reassurance
In soothing our small, childish fears,
How tenderly mothers watch over their children
And treasure them all through the years!
The heart of a mother is full of forgiveness
For any mistake, big or small,
And generous always in helping her family,
Whose needs she has placed above all.
A mother can utter a word of compassion
And make all our cares fall away,
She can brighten a home with the sound of her laughter
And make life delightful and gay.
A mother possesses incredible wisdom
And wonderful insight and skill -
In each human heart is that one special corner
Which only a mother can fill!

*A little- Etsy Shop- Spring Cleanin'*

Hello Everyone,

  I'm just letting you know that I'm  doing a little "Spring Cleaning" to my Etsy store so that I can prepare to add some fabulous Spring & Summer pieces to the shop. :-D I won't be listing EVERY single item I have in stock for sale, so if you see something you like on my blog or FB page but do NOT see it on Etsy, PLEASE let me know via email.

    I'm busy preparing for parties this Summer and only want to carry a few pieces of interest in my shop for right now.  The number of items might fluctuate, but as a rule, I'd MUCH rather sell jewelry to you in person. :-) If you are someone who is interested in having a party in ND/MN, please contact me.  Also, if you are eager to purchase something that you see, PLEASE say so via email and I will be more than happy to list it in my shop for you to buy it.  I realize not everyone has the option of having a fabulous jewelry/purse party. {although I WOULD love to take Lauren Elise Designs on the road! ;-D }
